2025 Kia K4
The 2025 Kia K4 enters the compact sedan market as the Forte's successor. This newcomer has two engine options and loads of tech. Slightly larger than its predecessor, the K4 offers more room for passengers while maintaining the nimble handling compact sedan buyers love.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Available in five trim levels, the 2025 Kia K4 offers the LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line, and premium GT-Line Turbo. Each version comes standard with LED headlights and star-map daytime running lights. The K4’s striking silhouette stretches 185.4 inches from bumper to bumper, spans 72.8 inches wide, and stands 55.9 inches tall. Its 107.1-inch wheelbase creates stable handling and opens up more space for rear-seat passengers.
The LX and LXS variants have 16-inch wheels, while the EX comes with 17-inch alloys. The GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo both feature 18-inch sports wheels and have unique front and rear styling. The GT-Line Turbo also has LED cube projector headlights and an extra-wide sunroof.
Engine (Power)
The K4 offers two engine choices. The LX, LXS, EX, and GT-Line have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 147 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 132 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a continuously variable transmission, it delivers smooth, efficient everyday driving.
The GT-Line Turbo has a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 190 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 195 pound-feet of torque at 1,700 rpm. This low-end torque makes city driving responsive. Its eight-speed automatic transmission shifts crisply, making highway merging and passing effortless.
Performance
The GT-Line Turbo reaches 60 mph in 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph. It stops from 70 mph in 173 feet and grips the road with 0.83 g on the skidpad due to its responsive multi-link rear suspension. The eight-speed automatic transmission keeps the turbo engine's torque readily available when you need quick acceleration for merging or passing.
Interior
Each variant has a 12.3-inch touch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Four USB-C ports keep devices charged throughout the cabin, while GT-Line Turbo models have a premium Harman Kardon audio system.
The cabin offers class-leading rear legroom and 15 cubic feet of trunk space. Front passengers enjoy 51 cubic feet of space, with rear passengers getting 45 cubic feet. Higher trims add heated and ventilated front seats, color-changing ambient lighting, and a voice-activated AI assistant that responds to natural commands.
Safety Features
All models include forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection and lane-keeping assist. GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo add navigation-based smart cruise control with stop-and-go that manages traffic jams while maintaining safe distances.
The GT-Line Turbo has a 360-degree camera for easier parking and highway driving assist for stress-free road trips. The blind-spot view monitor displays real-time video directly in your instrument panel, while ultrasonic sensors assist with parking. These comprehensive safety features helped earn the K4 a 2024 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick rating.
